Career
Dombi Rajmund comes from a family of musicians, so music has been a natural part of his life since childhood. He began playing the violin in Budapest at the age of seven and later continued his studies at the Pikéthy Tibor Secondary School of Music in Vác. He completed his higher musical education at the Varga Tibor Institute of Musical Arts of Széchenyi István University in Győr, where he earned his degree as a violin teacher.
His professional career is closely connected with classical music: since 2011, he has been a violinist with the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra. Alongside his work as a symphonic musician, the musical tradition of his family has remained equally important to him. He continues this heritage through his music with the Hungarian Royal Gypsy Orchestra.
Rajmund is a father of three, and music also plays an important role in his family life. Whenever time allows, he enjoys making music with his children, passing the family’s musical tradition on to the next generation. When he puts his violin aside, one of his favourite ways to relax and recharge is fishing.
With the Pannon Orchestra
As a member of the Hungarian Royal Gypsy Orchestra, Dombi Rajmund brings together his extensive experience as a classical orchestral musician and the musical tradition that has accompanied him since childhood.
Something Few People Know About Me
I am a father of three, and whenever we have the opportunity, we enjoy making music together. It means a great deal to me to see our family’s musical tradition continuing in the next generation. And when I really want to switch off and recharge, I go fishing.
