Career
Zsuzsanna Hegedűs has been surrounded by the sound of the violin and a love of music since childhood. She began playing the violin at the age of six under the guidance of her grandfather. Her talent was recognised early: at the age of nine, she was admitted to the Rajkó Orchestra, where she received her musical education and later completed her secondary school studies.
As a student of Gyula Farkas, she was introduced to international concert life at a young age, performing with the Rajkó Orchestra in numerous countries around the world. She later continued her career for five years as a member of the Budapest 100 Gypsy Orchestra.
In 1991, she moved to Spain, where she performed as a musician in hotels and at a wide variety of events. Her dedication to music also led her to teaching: in 2020, she opened a private music school, where she taught violin and solfège to beginners. During her decades in Spain, she also mastered the Spanish language and now speaks it at a native level.
After 35 years abroad, Zsuzsanna Hegedűs returned to Hungary in 2026. She now continues her musical career as a member of the Pannon Cigányzenekar, bringing with her the experience gained with the Rajkó Orchestra and the Budapest 100 Gypsy Orchestra, as well as decades of international performing experience.
